President Erdogan's arrival in Erbil on Monday received a warm welcome from KRG President Nechirvan Barzani and Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, signifying the importance of the visit. The discussions primarily focused on strengthening bilateral ties and navigating the evolving dynamics in Iraq and the broader region.

In a post on social media, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani highlighted the significance of the dialogue, describing it as a "fruitful exchange" covering a range of regional and bilateral matters. Both sides reiterated their commitment to maintaining security and stability in the region while advocating for peaceful dispute resolution between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government in accordance with constitutional principles.

Mutual consensus was reached on enhancing coordination and collaborative efforts in trade and investment, signaling a joint commitment to fostering economic prosperity and mutual growth.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Barzani reaffirmed the KRG's dedication to strengthening relations and expanding economic cooperation with Turkey. Meanwhile, Erdogan's visit to Erbil follows his earlier state visit to Baghdad on Monday, where he engaged in talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani. The visit underscored the ongoing diplomatic engagement between Turkey and Iraq, aimed at addressing critical issues of mutual interest and cooperation.

Upon his arrival in Baghdad, Erdogan and his delegation were received by Prime Minister al-Sudani, followed by formal discussions with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rasheed. Both leaders emphasized the significance of enhancing bilateral relations, citing recent agreements as notable achievements serving the interests of both countries.
