HÜDA PAR Mayor renews commitment to Gaza with generous donation

Following his win, Özhan made headlines with a two-pronged approach to demonstrate his unwavering support for the people of Gaza.

Özhan, who garnered a significant 777 votes translating to 56.8% of the total ballots cast, received his official certificate (mazbata) from the Gercüş District Election Board.  Gamze Göztepe, head of the board, extended her congratulations alongside enthusiastic well-wishers from HÜDA PAR.

Celebrations unfolded as Özhan arrived at the municipality building, where a crowd of supporters greeted him with chants of "salawats" (religious greetings).  He then offered two sacrificial animals in a symbolic gesture, signifying gratitude and commitment.

Addressing his supporters from his office, Özhan reaffirmed his unwavering stance on the critical situation in Gaza.  "Gaza is a red line for the Muslim world," he declared, his voice resonating with conviction.  "We will stand by our Palestinian brothers and sisters on every platform, offering them our unwavering support."

Özhan then announced a unique initiative to solidify this commitment.  "Following the guidance of our President General," he stated, "we are establishing a formal sister-municipality relationship between Kayapınar Town Municipality and a municipality in Gaza."  This symbolic act of solidarity transcends mere words and establishes a permanent bond of support between the two communities.

Further demonstrating his dedication to translating words into action, Özhan announced a substantial financial contribution to Gaza.  "Allah teaches us to share our wealth with those in need," he remarked.  "In this spirit, together with my dedicated team, we are donating 500,000 liras to alleviate the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Gaza."  This significant donation highlights HÜDA PAR's commitment to providing tangible support to the beleaguered Palestinian territory.

Özhan also took the opportunity to express his sincere gratitude to the people of Kayapınar for their renewed trust.  He acknowledged their previous victory five years ago with 38% of the vote and emphasized his unwavering commitment to serving the community with fairness and dedication.  "We have served our people for the past five years," he said, "and we have consistently strived to deliver excellent service without any shortcomings."
