Comprising 22 representatives from the French Parliament and the Senate, the delegation includes members from left-wing party formations such as "Proud France," the "Greens," and the "Communists," along with independent representatives.

The primary objective of the delegation's visit is to highlight solidarity with the Palestinians and advocate for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The representatives obtained necessary permits from Egyptian authorities to visit the Rafah crossing, emphasizing their commitment to press for a resolution to the ongoing conflict.

According to reports from French Radio Monte Carlo, the delegation aims to exert pressure for a ceasefire and express support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). The delegation contends that the occupation seeks to liquidate the refugee issue by eliminating UNRWA.

The French representatives arrived in Cairo on Saturday, emphasizing their visit to Egypt as a call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and a declaration of support for UNRWA. (ILKHA)
