Yemeni armed forces vow response as US-UK aggression launches 48 airstrikes
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, announced on Sunday that US-UK aggression aircraft carried out 48 airstrikes in various areas across multiple Yemeni governorates over the past hours.
In a statement posted on X, Saree detailed that the air raids targeted the governorates of Sanaa, Hodeidah, Taiz, al-Bayda, Hajjah, and Saada.
The distribution of the 48 air raids is as follows: thirteen raids targeted Amanat al-Asimah (Sanaa capital) and Sanaa Governorate, nine raids on Hodeidah Governorate, eleven raids on Taiz Governorate, seven raids each on al-Bayda and Hajjah governorates, and one raid on Saada Governorate.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree emphasized that these attacks "will not go unanswered," pledging that "there will be consequences." He reiterated Yemen's commitment to its moral, religious, and humanitarian stance in solidarity with the resilient Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The announcement came in the wake of a recent American-British aggression on Yemen, with airstrikes focusing on various locations in Sanaa and several governorates. The US-UK airstrikes targeted regions such as Attan, al-Nahdin, and al-Hafa within the capital, Sanaa, and conducted over 11 airstrikes on districts in Taiz Governorate. (ILKHA)
