Turkish authorities crack down on organized crime, dismantling 420 gangs in 2023

In a statement on X, Yerlikaya provided details of the successful operations codenamed 'Cage', which specifically targeted organized crime organizations.

"Within the framework of 'Cage' operations carried out against organized crime organizations between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2023, a total of 420 organised crime gangs were dismantled, including 11 international, 14 national, 56 regional and 339 local gangs," the statement said.
