Yemeni forces announce targeting USS Gravely in the Red Sea
Yemeni armed forces, aligned with the Ansar Allah group, announced on Wednesday that they have launched missiles targeting the US warship USS Gravely.
Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for Yemen's armed forces, stated that the attack is in defense of the Palestinian people and serves as a response to the perceived US-UK aggression against Yemen.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) issued a statement acknowledging the incident, reporting that an anti-ship cruise missile was intercepted in the Red Sea. CENTCOM mentioned that the missile was launched from areas under the control of the Ansar Allah group in Yemen.
This marks a series of attacks by Yemeni forces on US ships, responding to what they perceive as aggression by the US and UK against Yemen.
Ansar Allah group reiterates its commitment to impede the passage of ships destined for Israel as long as the alleged aggression and blockade on the Gaza Strip persist. (ILKHA)
