Death toll hits 26,257 in ongoing israeli aggression on Gaza
Zionist occupation forces have reportedly carried out around 18 massacres, predominantly targeting women and children, resulting in the deaths of approximately 174 innocent civilians and leaving 310 others wounded in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, according to medical sources.
Local health authorities have disclosed that the death toll in Gaza since the commencement of the aggression on October 7 has reached an alarming figure of around 26,257 people, with nearly 64,797 others sustaining injuries, the majority of whom are women and children. Furthermore, thousands are reported missing.
Medical teams, including ambulances and civil defense crews, face significant challenges in reaching those killed by Israeli airstrikes, as many remain trapped under rubble or on roads, and the injured individuals are unable to receive prompt assistance.
The dire situation has also led to the forceful displacement of nearly 2 million people from across the Gaza Strip, with the majority seeking refuge in the densely populated southern city of Rafah near the Egyptian border. This mass exodus marks one of the largest displacements in Palestine since the 1948 Nakba.
The escalating aggression in Gaza continues to draw international concern, with calls for an immediate ceasefire and efforts to address the humanitarian crisis affecting innocent civilians. (ILKHA)
