The ICJ's decision focused on emergency measures but stopped short of calling for an immediate ceasefire.

Hamas, a prominent Palestinian resistance group, welcomed the ICJ's decision, interpreting it as further validation of the accusation against Israel for committing genocide in Gaza. The group called on israel to prevent such actions and refrain from incitement. In their statement, Hamas emphasized that the ruling signifies an end to all forms of aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza. They urged the international community to compel Israel to implement the court's decisions and halt the ongoing genocide.

Hamas expressed anticipation for the ICJ's final decisions, hoping for condemnations against israel for genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. The group sees this decision as an opportunity to hold Israeli leaders accountable before the International Criminal Court. Hamas reasserted the rights of the Palestinian people to determine their destiny, establish an independent state, and return to their land and homes based on international resolutions.

The group also conveyed appreciation for South Africa's support, recognizing its genuine stance and efforts to end aggression in Gaza. They expressed gratitude to all countries supporting this "noble humanitarian action."

On the other hand, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad viewed the emergency measures issued by the ICJ as falling short. They criticized the decision for not demanding an immediate ceasefire to protect the Palestinian people from ongoing genocide, expressing concern that israel might exploit the situation. Despite acknowledging implicit recognition of ongoing genocide, the resistance group highlighted the ICJ's failure to issue a clear decision compelling Israel to immediately stop the war.

It is important to note that Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad are designated as terrorist organizations by several countries, including the United States, European Union, Israel, Canada, and others. (ILKHA)
