Afghan Deputy PM emphasizes freedom of expression in talks with national figures

During the discussions, attended by other national figures like Hussein Jafari and Dr. Daei al-Haq Abed, Chakari emphasized the recent political and economic actions undertaken by the Islamic Emirate. He underscored the emergence of favorable opportunities for Afghans after decades and stressed the importance of leveraging them effectively.

Chakari asserted that the Islamic Emirate is committed to the welfare of all Afghans, emphasizing the elimination of coercion, injustice, and biases in the current government.

Participants in the meetings shared their opinions and suggestions in written forms with Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Kabir. Kabir reiterated that the Islamic Emirate is the collective home for all Afghans, and every Afghan has the right to express their opinions and offer advice to government officials.

He further emphasized that government offices are open to everyone, and officials are dedicated to addressing the problems faced by the people.

During a specific meeting with Mujib Rahman Bahir, the head of Ariana News, discussions centered around the situation of private media in the country. Bahir highlighted the role of private media in maintaining a crucial link between the government and the people, striving to portray an accurate image of Afghanistan to the world.

Bahir informed that certain issues in the media sector have been resolved, expressing expectations for further progress in this domain. Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Kabir acknowledged the significance of private media activities alongside government media. He affirmed the Islamic Emirate's commitment to freedom of expression and highlighted efforts to facilitate private media, ensuring the resolution of their issues. (ILKHA)
