Health Ministry spokesperson Ashraf al-Qudra disclosed that in the past 24 hours alone, at least 178 bodies were brought to Gaza's hospitals, accompanied by nearly 300 wounded individuals.

The primary victims in this prolonged israeli onslaught are women and children, according to the United Nations. The latest figures reveal that approximately 85% of Gaza's population has evacuated their homes, seeking refuge in U.N.-administered shelters and tent camps, primarily in the southern part of the besieged coastal enclave.

United Nations officials have raised alarms about the dire humanitarian situation, noting that a quarter of Gaza's 2.3 million population is grappling with starvation due to limited humanitarian aid entering the region amid ongoing hostilities and Israeli restrictions.

Since October 7, Gaza's Health Ministry has documented a total of 25,105 Palestinians killed in the territory, with an additional 62,681 reported wounded. Al-Qidra highlighted the challenging circumstances, noting that many casualties remain trapped under the rubble from Israeli strikes or in areas inaccessible to medical personnel.

Moreover, the Israeli aggression has forcibly displaced nearly 2 million people from across the entire Gaza Strip. The majority of those displaced have been compelled by Israel into the densely populated southern city of Rafah, near the border with Egypt. This mass displacement is now recognized as the largest exodus in Palestine since the 1948 Nakba.

As the situation continues to deteriorate, concerns are mounting globally, emphasizing the urgent need for international intervention and efforts to end israel’s genocide in Gaza. (ILKHA)
