Zionist forces hit residential building in Damascus
Zionist forces targeted a residential building in the al-Mazzeh neighborhood of the Syrian capital, Damascus, as reported by the Syrian news agency SANA on Saturday.
The attack resulted in the complete collapse of the building, leading to one fatality and three others sustaining injuries.
Local sources provided initial information on the casualties, emphasizing the severe impact on the targeted structure.
Meanwhile, Ismail Al-Sindawi, the representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in Syria, reassured that all PIJ leaders in Damascus were unharmed, and none of the movement's offices were affected by the aggression.
It is worth noting that tensions in the region have escalated, with this incident following the Israeli airstrike last month that resulted in the martyrdom of Senior Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) commander Seyyed Razi Mousavi.
The Iranian commander lost his life when zionist forces launched three missiles at his location in the suburbs of Damascus on December 25, 2023.
The situation remains fluid, with ongoing concerns about the regional security landscape. (ILKHA)
