Hamas delegation holds political consultations in Moscow
A delegation from Hamas, led by Musa Abu Marzouk, the head of the Movement’s International Relations Office, engaged in political consultations in Moscow on Friday.
The delegation met with Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian President’s Special Envoy to the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister, at the Russian Foreign Ministry headquarters.
The Hamas delegation, which included Dr. Bassem Naim, a member of the Hamas political bureau in Gaza, and the Movement’s representative to Moscow, discussed a ceasefire in Gaza to halt the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. The talks aimed to clarify Hamas's position and policies regarding captives held by the resistance in Gaza.
Emphasizing the severity of Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people and regional populations, the delegation highlighted these actions as a serious threat to international peace and security. They reiterated the Palestinian people's right to freedom, return, and resistance against the Israeli occupation through all available means.
Bogdanov affirmed Russia's supportive stance toward the rights of the Palestinian people and mentioned ongoing efforts, alongside concerned parties, to achieve a ceasefire. The delegation welcomed these diplomatic endeavors and expressed gratitude for Russia's humanitarian and relief aid provided to the besieged Gaza Strip. (ILKHA)
