Türkiye reports 1.8% yearly increase in paid employees
The Turkish Statistical Institute revealed in a statement on Monday that the number of paid employees increased by 1.8% annually.

The growth was observed across various sectors, including industry, construction, and trade-services. In November 2023, the total number of paid employees reached 15 million 106 thousand 556, compared to 14 million 833 thousand 144 in the same month of the previous year.
Upon closer inspection of sub-sectors, the industrial sector experienced a 1.3% decrease in the number of paid employees, while the construction sector witnessed a notable 10.2% increase. The trade-services sector also showed growth, recording a 2.1% annual increase.
In terms of monthly changes, the overall number of paid employees, spanning industry, construction, and trade-services, decreased by 0.2% in November 2023 compared to the previous month.
The industrial sector saw a 0.5% decline, the construction sector observed a 0.2% increase, and the trade-services sector remained unchanged on a monthly basis. (ILKHA)
