The "Freedom for Palestine" event, organized with the support of numerous international organizations, featured speeches from high-profile figures like HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, Palestinian Ambassador to Ankara Faed Mustafa, and representatives of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

The forum served as a platform to highlight the ongoing struggle of the Palestinian people against israeli occupation.

Speaking at the event, Yapıcıoğlu expressed solidarity with the Palestinian resistance, highlighting its resilience against the relentless zionist attacks that have unfolded for a century.

Yapıcıoğlu opened his speech with a powerful statement: “We stand here not as mere observers, but as ardent supporters of the courageous Palestinians fighting for their very existence. The resistance they've shown in the past 100 days is a testament to the strength of the Palestinian spirit.”

He commended the Gaza resistance for standing firm in the face of inhuman atrocities perpetuated by the Zionist occupation regime, especially with the unwavering support from Western imperialists, particularly the United States. "The international community cannot remain silent when innocent lives are at stake. We must condemn the zionist aggression and work towards a just and lasting solution," Yapıcıoğlu urged.

Central to Yapıcıoğlu's discourse was the characterization of zionism as the "most dangerous racism on earth." He stated emphatically: "Zionism threatens not only Palestinians or only Muslims but the peace and tranquility of all humanity, including Christians and Jews. We cannot afford to ignore this global menace."

The HÜDA PAR President criticized the international community's failure to respond adequately to the brutal genocide in Gaza, attributing it to the disorganization among Muslims and the inadequate reactions from Islamic countries. He passionately declared: "Our silence is complicity. It is time for the world to unite against the common enemy—Zionism. We must stand together for justice and humanity."

Drawing attention to the historical context, Yapıcıoğlu spoke of periods when Jerusalem thrived as a city of freedom for all three major religions—Muslims, Christians, and Jews—under Islamic rule. He cited the example of the Umayyad Caliphate of al-Andalus in Spain, where members of different religions lived together freely until 1492.

Yapıcıoğlu invoked the words of Aliya İzzetbegovic about Jerusalem, asserting that its liberation and restoration as a free city for all religions are not only theoretically but also practically achievable, primarily through the principles upheld by Islam. "Jerusalem is a symbol of coexistence, and we must work towards restoring that spirit," he declared.

In his concluding remarks, Yapıcıoğlu congratulated the Republic of South Africa, represented by Mandella Mandella Mandella, for initiating a judicial process at the International Court of Justice.

"This move is a step towards holding accountable those responsible for human rights violations in the occupied territories. We must support such initiatives for justice to prevail,” he emphasized.
