In a significant tripartite summit held in Aqaba, Jordan, leaders emphasized the imperative need for international condemnation and united action against such plans. They staunchly opposed any attempts to liquidate the Palestinian issue or separate Gaza from the West Bank, highlighting both regions as integral parts of a unified Palestinian state.

Specifically convened to address the precarious situation in Gaza, the leaders warned against potential israeli attempts to reoccupy parts of Gaza or establish designated "safe zones" in the territory. They stressed the necessity of allowing Gaza residents to return to their homes.

The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to halting israeli aggression in Gaza, protecting innocent civilians, and ensuring consistent and sufficient delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.

Expressing concern over hostile actions by extremist israeli settlers in the West Bank and assaults on Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, the leaders cautioned that such actions could escalate the situation in the West Bank, leading to regional instability.

In a joint agreement, the leaders pledged close collaboration and coordination among Arab nations and with influential international actors to pursue a political resolution for the Palestinian issue.

They emphasized the importance of achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy. This solution ensures the full legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in their independent state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

King Abdullah II of Jordan reiterated his support for the State of Palestine, cautioning against measures aimed at weakening it. He warned against potential escalations that could widen the circle of war and complicate efforts to reach a ceasefire, highlighting the critical nature of the situation and the need for extraordinary efforts to chart the course for the next phase.

Prior to the trilateral summit, King Abdullah II held separate meetings with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and President Mahmoud Abbas, focusing on concerted efforts for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. (ILKHA)
