Turkish industrial production records 0.2% annual increase
The Turkish Statistical Institute reported a 0.2% annual increase in industrial production, according to a statement released on Wednesday.
Examining subsectors within the industry based on the 2015=100 index, mining and quarrying showed a notable growth of 3.5%, the manufacturing index increased by 0.1%, and the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index surged by 4.5% in November 2023 compared to the same month in the previous year.
However, the monthly comparison revealed a 1.4% decrease in industrial production for November 2023. In a breakdown of subsectors, the mining and quarrying index experienced a decline of 4.5%, the manufacturing index decreased by 1.3%, and the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index dropped by 1.0% when compared with the previous month.
