Distinguished figures, including Numan Kurtulmuş, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, and Mehmet Görmez, former President of Religious Affairs, were present at the summit's opening ceremony. Deputy Ministers of National Education, Nazif Yılmaz and Ömer Faruk Yelkenci, along with other officials, engaged in discussions about the challenges facing the Islamic world, with a focus on the ongoing issues in Palestine.

Deputy Minister Yelkenci expressed satisfaction at hosting an event that brought together students from diverse backgrounds and addressed critical global topics. Reflecting on the persistent challenges faced by the Islamic world, he emphasized the need for a collective understanding to address humanitarian issues effectively.

The summit, designed to foster intellectual growth among youth, featured discussions on various subjects, including technology, human rights, and global disasters. The model OIC proceedings aimed to provide participants with immersive experiences in diplomacy and negotiation, fostering a deep understanding of contemporary international relations.

Initiated by students of Beyoğlu Anatolian Imam Hatip High School in 2018, the International Model OIC High School Summit has become an essential platform for promoting the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation as a leading international institution among young people. The event's success lies in its commitment to simulating authentic diplomatic experiences and engaging students in the pressing issues affecting the Islamic world. (ILKHA)
