Kyrgyzstan unveils revamped national flag in Bishkek ceremony
Kyrgyzstan has officially raised its renewed flag in Bishkek, the capital city. The ceremony was attended by officials, including the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Secretary of State, heads of departments and deputies.
The changes to the flag include the shape of the beams and the number of crossbars in the central part of the flag.
Previously, the rays of the flag were wavy, now they are straight. Also, in the center of the flag there are now four bars instead of three.
The law on changing the state symbol was adopted by the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan in December 2023.
Existing official documents that display the previous flag will remain valid until their expiration, and vehicle license plates will continue to be in use until a decision is made regarding their replacement. (ILKHA)
