The Silicon Valley project is set to stretch along Wadi al-Joz road and Othman bin Affan Street, with proposed buildings ranging from 8 to 14 stories. Critics argue that this project will displace Palestinian-owned businesses and seize properties, impacting local residents who rely on both housing and the industrial zone.

Attorney Muhannad Jabara, representing affected Jerusalem residents who filed a petition against the project, emphasized the devastating consequences for the people of Jerusalem. He noted that the Silicon Valley plan aims to erase an entire pre-existing industrial zone established by Jerusalem residents before the Israeli occupation.

Additionally, the israeli municipality approved the establishment of a waste dump on a 109-dunum area in a valley near the neighborhoods of Al-Issawiya, Anata, and Ras Shehada, east of occupied Jerusalem. This move has faced legal resistance from Palestinians in Jerusalem who have argued against the environmental and social impact of the dump on their lands.
