HÜDA PAR women donate jewelry and aid for Gaza relief efforts
The Women's Branch of HÜDA PAR in Istanbul organized a donation drive, with members and volunteers contributing cash, jewelry, and even personal belongings to support relief efforts in Gaza.
In a show of exemplary support, numerous party members and volunteers gathered at the Hope Caravan headquarters, contributing both cash aid and jewelry to aid the people of Gaza.
Donations included rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and golden coins, with some women even parting with precious items they had saved for challenging times. Children accompanied by their mothers also participated, contributing their pocket money and piggy banks to assist their peers in Gaza.
Meryem Kiraz, the head of HÜDA PAR women in Istanbul, emphasized the urgent need to address the ongoing crisis in Palestine, stating: "There has been a genocide in Palestine for more than 3 months, and the whole world is witnessing it. Since October 7, we have been in the squares as a women's branch, supporting organizations through press statements, marches, and rallies. Our Palestinian brothers and sisters are our main agenda; Jerusalem is our red line."
Speaking about the impactful donation for Gaza, Kiraz explained: "Our brothers are still hungry and thirsty there. All their needs, such as shelter, health, and electricity, remain. Through the Hope Caravan, we once again appealed to our brothers and sisters for help. Inshallah, these donations will reach our brothers through Hope Caravan. This is a small donation we have made. We are waiting for world leaders to stop this persecution."
She further conveyed the commitment of the women's branch to persist until the oppression ends and Jerusalem is free. Kiraz explained that while they had previously donated the cash aid collected for Gaza, the escalating persecution prompted them to do more. The urgent needs of those in Gaza, including shelter, health, and electricity, propelled the group to appeal once again for assistance through the Hope Caravan.
“We will shout constantly in the squares, on social media, we will continue the boycott, we will not stop. We believe that this oppression will come to an end. Inshallah, God will give us the victory. May Allah be pleased with all our volunteers. We thank Hope Caravan for being a part of this charity,” she emphasized.
Kiraz also praised Hope Caravan Foundation, the aid organization facilitating the donations, for its role in providing much-needed assistance to Gazans. (ILKHA)
