Erdoğan: We will not allow our values to be undermined
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the Ceremony for the Commencement of Duty of 6,992 Police Officers and the Commissioning of 1,573 New Vehicles held at Istanbul Atatürk Airport.
During the ceremony, President Erdoğan emphasized the unwavering commitment to security and the protection of values in Türkiye.
Addressing the gathering, President Erdoğan stated: "Just as we do not compromise our security, we will not allow our values and interests to be undermined, eroded, or violated." He underscored the vital role of Istanbul, situated at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa, with a population larger than many countries. President Erdoğan highlighted the significant increase in the manpower of the Istanbul Security Directorate with the addition of new officers and vehicles.
"With today’s appointments and the commissioning of new vehicles, the Istanbul Security Directorate’s manpower has almost outnumbered even the militaries of the European countries, let alone their police forces," Erdoğan remarked. He expressed gratitude to all members of the Istanbul Security Directorate for their efforts in ensuring peace and security in the heart of Türkiye.
Erdoğan reiterated Türkiye's determination to thwart the ambitions of those who declare war on the country’s values, deeply rooted in its civilization and history. He issued a warning against xenophobic schemes, stressing that they not only contradict the Turkish people’s faith but also harm Türkiye’s national interests.
"Just as we do not compromise our security, we will not allow our values and interests to be undermined, eroded, or violated," concluded President Erdoğan. The ceremony marked a significant step in reinforcing Türkiye's security apparatus and safeguarding its cultural heritage. (ILKHA)
