Sharing his insights on his social media account, Şimşek highlighted the positive impact of the government's programme on improving predictability, which he attributed to realistic and consistent targets. He stated that the year-end realisations for 2023 are in line with the programme's objectives, and that the revised targets are being successfully achieved.

Providing details on the inflation front, Şimşek noted that monthly inflation continued to decline, resulting in a year-end inflation rate of 64.8 percent.

In addition, he mentioned that annualized core indicators remain in line with the 2024 target.

Anticipating further positive results, Şimşek stated that growth and the current account deficit are expected to be in line with established targets. He also assured that the budget deficit in 2023 will be well below the target set for that year.

Looking ahead to 2024, Minister Şimşek emphasized the government's commitment to take the necessary measures to achieve the outlined targets, with a particular focus on tackling inflation.
