Türkiye's Treasury Minister outlines ambitious economic targets for 2024
Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek has outlined economic targets for 2024, expressing optimism about positive outcomes from the country's program.
In a statement on social media, Minister Şimşek highlighted key expectations for the coming year, including a start to the decline in annual inflation, an increase in reserve adequacy, the conclusion of the currency hedging system, the initiation of a permanent improvement in the current account deficit, and the establishment of budget discipline.
He emphasized that 2024 will be a year focused on strengthening the foundations for sustainable high growth as the government continues to implement its program for a more prosperous Türkiye. (ILKHA)
