The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) condemned the attack and held the Iraqi federal government responsible for its "outlaw" groups carrying out such strikes.

The attack occurred at approximately 11:45 pm and resulted in material damage but no casualties, according to KRG spokesperson Peshawa Hawramani.

In a statement, the KRG asserted: "We hold those [outlaw] groups and the federal government responsible for these cowardly attacks, because these outlaw groups are armed by and receive salaries from the federal government, and they roam around before the eyes of the Iraqi government, transporting weapons, rockets, and drones and carrying out terrorist attacks on official and military institutions."

The KRG expects Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani to take action against these groups. The statement emphasized that Erbil reserves the right to respond to such attacks "at the appropriate time" and called on its allies to support them in the face of such strikes.

The KRG reiterated on Friday that there are no Israeli bases in the region, countering claims made by the Islamic Resistance, which asserted it had targeted a "Zionist" base in Erbil. (ILKHA)
