Women in Malatya donate jewelry and children's savings to aid Gaza
In a heartfelt demonstration of solidarity, women in Malatya responded to the call from HÜDA PAR Malatya Provincial Women's Branches to "support Gaza with jewelry."
Many women, moved by the plea, visited the Hope Caravan Foundation in Malatya, where they generously donated their jewelry, and children contributed their saved pocket money.
Fatma Ölmez Yıldırım, Chair of HÜDA PAR Malatya Provincial Women's Branch, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response, stating: "Jewelry is very precious for women, but what is more valuable than anything else is our Muslim brothers and sisters. Therefore, our brothers and sisters donated instead of the jewelry items that are most valuable to them, preferring their Muslim brothers and sisters. We made a donation to show that we are with our brothers and sisters in Gaza.”
Güneş Çelik, one of the donors, emphasized the significance of their contribution, saying: "The most valuable thing for women is jewelry. We made a donation to show that we are with them. Women cannot give up their jewelry quickly. Because they are their most precious ones, but our brothers and sisters here, may Allah be pleased with everyone, gave up our most precious ones and came and donated to show that we are with their brothers and sisters in Gaza."
Meryem Akargil, who has been actively protesting the genocide in Gaza, stated: "We are here to support our brothers and sisters until the genocide ends. Whether through prayers, financial support, or participating in organized marches, we are committed to aiding the people of Gaza."
Ali Sağlık, President of Hope Caravan Association, expressed gratitude for the women's generosity, stating: "Inshallah, we will deliver these pocket money and jewelry to our brothers and sisters in Gaza. May Allah increase the donations of all of them many times over and reward them in the hereafter."
The donations reflect the deep concern and commitment of the community to alleviate the suffering in Gaza amid the ongoing crisis. (ILKHA)
