Turkish coast guard rescues 121 irregular migrants pushed back by Greece
Turkish Coast Guard teams successfully rescued 121 irregular migrants who were stranded in boats off the coast of Izmir.
The rescue mission was conducted in response to distress signals, as the migrants found themselves pushed into Turkish territorial waters by Greek forces near Çeşme, Dikili, and Karaburun.
Simultaneously, 78 additional irregular migrants were apprehended in rubber boats off Çeşme and Menderes districts, attempting to cross the border illegally.
Following the rescue and apprehension operations, all migrants were transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management to undergo necessary procedures. (ILKHA)
