Ex-israeli top general: israel lost to Hamas, victory lies in Netanyahu's ouster
The former Chief of General Staff of the zionist military, Dan Halutz, asserted that israel lost the recent conflict against Hamas.
Halutz emphasized that the only victory to be achieved would be the removal of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from office.
The revelation came during a conversation between Halutz and anti-government protest activists in Haifa, as disclosed by Israeli Channel 14's correspondent, Yishai Friedman. Halutz expressed his view that the conventional markers of victory are overshadowed by the human toll of the conflict, citing the loss of lives, prisoners, and displaced individuals.
“There will be no image of victory because the image reflects the loss of 1,300 lives and 240 prisoners, despite their return, and approximately 200,000 refugees who failed to return to their homes,” Halutz stated.
"For me, the picture of victory will be when Prime Minister Netanyahu steps down,” he further added. (ILKHA)
