These freed women detailed the escalating oppressive measures by israeli authorities since the commencement of the israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7. They reported being deprived of basic rights, such as adequate food portions, leading to incidents of fainting among inmates. Additionally, the women described instances of verbal and physical abuse, including beatings, insults, and withdrawal of access to TVs in their rooms.

Fatima Amarneh, one of the released women, recounted a brutal encounter with israeli soldiers who assaulted her immediately upon arrest, even before initiating any interrogation. She emphasized that the mistreatment included being strangled with her veil until losing consciousness and threats of rape. Despite the hardships, she expressed her joy at regaining freedom.

Sarah Abdullah, another released woman, conveyed her pride in Hamas Movement, specifically commending the leader in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Al-Sinwar, and Muhammad Al-Deif, the leader of Al-Qassam Brigades, the Movement’s armed wing, for their unwavering support for the detained women.

Shorouk Dwayyat, another liberated prisoner, shared her bittersweet emotions, expressing happiness at her release but acknowledging the pain and sorrow for the fallen martyrs in the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza. She stressed that true joy would only be realized when the resistance achieves victory and the conflict in Gaza concludes. (ILKHA)
