Hamas spokesperson's poster hung on Diyarbakır walls
A group of young people in Diyarbakır, a Kurdish majority city in southeastern Turkiye, have shown their support for Hamas by hanging a banner portrait of its military wing's spokesperson Abu Obaida on the historical walls of the city.
The poster, which reads "Salute to the Aqsa Flood," is a tribute to Abu Obaida and the ongoing Aksa Flood Operation launched by Hamas against israel on Oct. 7 in response to the israeli aggression on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem.
Abu Obaida, the official spokesperson of the Al-Qassam Brigades, has become a symbol of resistance and courage for many people around the world who sympathize with the Palestinian cause.
He has been delivering regular statements and updates on the situation in Gaza and the achievements of the Hamas fighters.
This is not the first time that Abu Obaida's poster has been displayed in Türkiye. Earlier this week, similar posters were placed on the city walls in Topkapi and Maiden’s Tower, two iconic landmarks in Istanbul.
The posters have drawn attention and admiration from many Turkish citizens and social media users, who expressed their solidarity with Hamas and the Palestinian people. (ILKHA)
