Muslims in Diyarbakır respond to HAMAS call, unite for Palestinian cause
The people of Diyarbakır came together in a rally organized by the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation in the central Yenişehir district in support of the Palestinian resistance.
The gathering, initiated in line with HAMAS's appeal for Muslim solidarity and public demonstrations, underscored the significance of unity and encouraged people to participate in street protests following Hamas's call.
Yahya Oğraş, Vice Chairman of HUDA PAR Diyarbakır Province, delivered an impassioned speech during the event, emphasizing the profound significance of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque for Muslims.
“Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque are not mere pieces of land for us; they are the first Qibla of Muslims, the sacred site where our Prophet ascended to the miraculous ascension, and a cornerstone of our faith. The cause of Palestine, Jerusalem, and Al-Aqsa Mosque is a cause of our faith and belief. It is as sacred to us as Mecca, Medina, Kaaba, and Masjid Nabawi,” he declared.
Expressing deep concern over the ongoing oppression in Palestine, Oğraş continued: "Today, in Palestine, Jerusalem, and Masjid al-Aqsa, the beliefs and holy places of Muslims are trampled by the boots of Zionist occupiers. Protecting these holy places is as important as praying and fasting. Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque are the honor and dignity of the Ummah. We stand with the resistance movement that protects the honor and honor of the ummah."
Turning his attention to the historical context, Oğraş passionately stated: "The Aqsa Flood operation that started on October 7 is not the result of instant anger but a struggle for liberation against a 75-year policy of occupation, massacre, genocide, and expansion. In this sense, HAMAS has been the main actor and representative of the accumulated anger and desire to be liberated from occupation among Palestinians."
With firm determination, he called on Muslim nations to unite against oppression, saying: "In the face of all these atrocities, our call to our people: the squares should not be left empty, financial aid to the Palestinian resistance should be continued uninterruptedly, and the boycott of the goods of the Zionists and their supporters should continue indefinitely."
Oğraş made specific demands, his voice resonating with conviction: "The blockade of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza must be lifted immediately. Turkey should lead an aid corridor or a naval flotilla. All American bases, especially Incirlik and Kürecik, must be closed. Air and sea ports must be closed to all kinds of Zionist ships and planes. Zionist citizens in Turkey should be prevented from going to the occupied Palestinian territories."
“May Allah be your witness, we are saying our part and once again shouting with the loudest voice; we stand by our first Qibla Al-Aqsa and our Muslim brothers and sisters with our lives, our property, our children, and our well-being. We stand by and support every legitimate action that leads to the freedom of Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque. We are ready to make every sacrifice on this path,” Oğraş stated.
The event was concluded with a prayer by Mullah Nazim Şimşek, a member of ITTIHADUL ULEMA. (ILKHA)
