Turkish President Erdogan vows to pursue israel's human rights violations at ICC
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared that Türkiye will take significant steps to address israel's human rights violations and war crimes by seeking action at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Speaking to reporters aboard the presidential plane following his attendance at the Organization of Turkic States summit in Kazakhstan, Erdogan made it clear that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been disregarded as a dialogue partner.
Erdogan accused Netanyahu of losing the support of israeli citizens and attempting to justify massacres through religious rhetoric. Addressing his previous comments at the Palestine Rally, Erdogan reaffirmed Türkiye's intent to support endeavors that bring attention to Israel's violations of human rights and war crimes. He specified that relevant Turkish authorities, primarily the Foreign Ministry, will oversee this initiative.
Moreover, Erdogan expressed Türkiye's willingness to serve as a guarantor for Gaza following the recent clashes, emphasizing Türkiye's unwavering support for the people of Gaza amidst israel's continued aggression.
The zionist military has expanded its air and ground assaults on the Gaza Strip since the surprise operation by Hamas on October 7.
Official figures indicate that at least 9,227 Palestinians, primarily children and women, have lost their lives in israeli attacks since the aggression began.
The situation in Gaza is dire, with basic supplies running critically low for its 2.3 million residents due to the israeli blockade, alongside a significant number of casualties and displacements. (ILKHA)
