Russian and Iranian Foreign Ministers discuss israel’s genocide in Gaza
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian held a phone conversation on Friday to discuss the ongoing israeli aggression on Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
The two officials emphasized the importance of achieving an early ceasefire and providing urgent humanitarian assistance to the civilians affected by the conflict in Gaza, according to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The ministry noted that Iran initiated the call, and both ministers expressed their concern about the continued armed confrontation in the Gaza Strip.
Minister Lavrov informed his Iranian counterpart that Russia is actively working at the United Nations Security Council to de-escalate tensions and shift the situation toward a political and diplomatic resolution. (ILKHA)
