Zionist regime hits civilians at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, causing mass casualties
Zionist regime’s airstrikes struck civilians and wounded individuals at the main entrance of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City on Friday evening.
According to Gaza's health ministry, the strikes targeted the hospital's main gate, resulting in numerous casualties. Footage from the scene revealed bodies lying near ambulances.
Local officials reported to Al Jazeera that an ambulance convoy, leaving Al-Shifa Hospital for the Rafah border crossing, was also hit by the Israeli military. Additionally, a convoy of ambulances and cars attempting to head south via al-Rashid road faced multiple attacks by Israeli warplanes.
The airstrikes resulted in the death or injury of numerous civilians, including wounded individuals who were being evacuated via these convoys.
Before the evacuations commenced, all relevant parties, including the Red Cross, were reportedly informed. The evacuations aimed to transport wounded civilians to the Rafah crossing for medical treatment in Egypt. Tragically, among the victims were citizens seeking refuge at Al-Shifa Hospital.
Israeli warplanes also reportedly bombed streets and homes in the vicinity of the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza and near Al-Quds Hospital in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood in Gaza City. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in these instances. (ILKHA)
