39 Palestinian children killed in West Bank since October 7
According to documentation gathered by the Defense for Children International-Palestine (DCIP), the occupied West Bank has witnessed the tragic deaths of 39 Palestinian children since October 7.
This distressing toll follows the zionist military's commencement of a full-scale bombardment named Operation Iron Swords in the Gaza Strip.
Reports from the DCIP have indicated that, this year alone, israeli forces and settlers have taken the lives of at least 79 Palestinian children in the occupied West Bank. Of these casualties, 69 children were shot and killed with live ammunition, six fell victim to drone strikes, and four lost their lives due to missiles fired from a U.S.-sourced Apache attack helicopter.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has confirmed that at least 123 Palestinians have been killed by zionist forces and settlers in the occupied West Bank since October 7, further illustrating the severity of the ongoing conflict.
The utilization of lethal force is permitted under international law solely in situations where an immediate threat to life or severe injury is present. However, evidence documented by DCIP frequently suggests that israeli forces may be resorting to lethal force against Palestinian children in circumstances that could amount to extrajudicial or deliberate killings.
