Hamas announces it will release foreign captives
Hamas, through a video message posted on its Telegram account, has declared its intention to release a number of foreign civilians who have been held in captivity in the coming days.
Abu Ubaida, the spokesperson for the group's armed wing, al-Qassam Brigades, delivered this announcement.
The spokesperson did not provide specific details regarding the number of captives being released or their nationalities. The decision to release foreign captives signifies a development in the ongoing conflict.
Abu Ubaida also revealed that the al-Qassam Brigades had engaged in clashes with the Israeli army on three different fronts.
During these confrontations, the group claimed to have inflicted casualties on Israeli soldiers and destroyed 22 military vehicles.
Additionally, the al-Qassam Brigades' naval unit employed an underwater missile known as 'Aasif' for the first time in the course of the conflict, as mentioned by Abu Ubaida. (ILKHA)
