Israel's bombardment on Gaza kills nearly 3,000 children, including 444 babies
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has published a harrowing report detailing the casualties resulting from the sustained attacks by the zionist occupation regime on the blockaded Gaza Strip.
According to the report, out of the total 7,028 Palestinians killed in the assaults between October 7 and October 26, a staggering 2,913 were children, accounting for almost 40% of the overall fatalities.
The report further revealed the distressing loss of 444 babies under the age of two, including 133 infants under one year old, 153 at one year old, and 158 at two years old.
Additionally, 171 children aged three, 1,527 children of primary school age, and 523 children of high school age tragically lost their lives in the attacks.
Among those killed, 462 individuals over the age of 60 succumbed to the violence, and 281 victims' identities remain unidentified.
The report strongly condemned the israeli regime's actions, labeling them "barbaric and inhumane" and a clear violation of international law and human rights. It urged the international community to intervene and put an end to the ongoing atrocities against the Palestinian population by the Israeli occupation forces.
The released report paints a grim picture of the human cost resulting from the ongoing conflict in Gaza, highlighting the disproportionate impact on innocent civilians, especially children and babies.
The report's urgent call for international intervention underscores the need to address the humanitarian crisis and halt the continuous violence and devastation inflicted upon the besieged Gaza Strip by the zionist occupation forces. (ILKHA)
