Multiple simultaneous attacks target US military bases in eastern Syria

Ten separate assaults occurred targeting the Omar oil field and Harab Cir bases in Deir ez-Zor and al-Hasakah provinces, deploying ground-to-ground weaponry against the US military installations.

Concurrently, unidentified unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) carried out an attack on the Tenef base in the desert region of Homs, near the Jordanian border.

Reports suggest rockets were fired around these bases during the assaults, but details regarding casualties remain unconfirmed at this time.

This wave of attacks follows a pattern of hostility directed at the US military stationed in the region. Previously, at least 15 assaults utilizing ground-to-ground weapons targeted the military base at the Omar oil field in Deir ez-Zor and the Conoco gas field.

Recent days have witnessed a surge in attacks involving UAVs of unknown origin and ground-to-ground weaponry on bases where US military personnel are stationed. These assaults have struck in various locations, including the At-Tnaf region, al-Malikiyah district near the Iraqi border, Al-Shaddadah district in the Al-Hasakah province, and Deir ez-Zor province.

The Deir ez-Zor territory, situated east of the Euphrates River, remains a complex zone, partly under the control of the US-backed YPG/PKK group while the provincial capital and other rural areas are governed by the Assad regime and Iran-backed groups. (ILKHA)
