Zionist regime’s airstrikes kill dozens of civilians in Gaza as aggression enters 23rd day
The zionist military has continued its bombardment of the Gaza Strip, killing dozens of innocent Palestinian civilians, including children, and injuring hundreds more in the 23rd day of the conflict.
One of the deadliest attacks targeted the Al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza, where an israeli airstrike left scores of people dead and many others trapped under the rubble. The exact number of casualties is still unknown, but witnesses described a scene of horror and devastation.
Another israeli airstrike hit a multi-story residential building in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood in Gaza City, causing a massive explosion that killed and wounded many residents. The building housed several media outlets, including Hamas-affiliated radio stations.
Zionist regime’s warplanes also struck several other areas in Gaza, including the Zaytoun, Tuffah and Shujaeya neighborhoods in Gaza City, the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza, the Bir an-Na'ja neighborhood in northern Gaza, the Bureij and Nuseirat refugee camps and the city of Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza, and the cities of Khan Younis and Rafah in southern Gaza.
According to Palestinian health officials, more than 7,800 people have been killed and thousands injured since the conflict began on Oct. 7, when Hamas and Islamic Jihad launched a massive rocket and ground attack on israel. Many of the victims are civilians who were displaced from their homes by the Israeli offensive.
The United Nations has warned that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is dire, as the enclave faces shortages of fuel, water, medicine and food. It has also called for an immediate ceasefire and a political solution to end the violence. (ILKHA)
