The protesters, who waved Palestinian flags and chanted slogans such as “Free Palestine” and “Stop the bombing”, gathered in Embankment and then moved to Parliament Square, where they held speeches and rallies.

The zionist military has been carrying out airstrikes and ground operations in Gaza since Oct. 7, after Hamas launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, a multi-pronged attack that involved rockets, drones, and commando raids into Israel. Hamas said it was retaliating for the israeli raids on the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and the violence against Palestinians in Jerusalem and the West Bank.

According to the latest figures from the Palestinian Health Ministry, at least 7,703 Palestinians, including 3,595 children, have been killed and more than 20,000 injured in the israeli attacks. On the Israeli side, more than 1,400 people have died and over 6,000 have been wounded by Hamas rockets and other projectiles.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza has also deteriorated, as the enclave’s 2.3 million residents face shortages of food, water, medicine, and electricity due to the Israeli blockade and the destruction of infrastructure. The UN said that only a few aid trucks have been able to enter Gaza through the Rafah crossing with Egypt since it was opened last weekend.

The international community has been calling for an immediate cease-fire and a political solution to the conflict. The UN General Assembly passed a resolution on Friday night urging a humanitarian truce and condemning the Israeli aggression, but Israel rejected it as “despicable” and vowed to continue its operations until it achieves its goals.
