Massive demonstrations in Türkiye condemn israel’s genocide in Gaza
Following the intensifying attacks on Gaza by the zionist occupation regime, a significant assembly occurred in Diyarbakır, Türkiye, drawing together thousands of people to show their support for the Palestinian resistance.
The demonstration aimed to vehemently denounce the intense bombardment of Gaza that commenced on Friday evening.
Under the initiative of HÜDA PAR Diyarbakır Provincial Presidency, a substantial crowd assembled in front of the Palestine support tent in the Kayapınar district, raising their voices in support of the resistance against the attacks. The event, which commenced with Emin Bulut's recitation of the Holy Quran, witnessed speeches and calls for action by various leaders.
Speaking at the gathering, Yahya Oğraş, HÜDA PAR Diyarbakır Provincial Vice President, referenced Turkish President Erdogan's previous statement linking the fate of Türkiye with that of Jerusalem, Gaza, and Palestine. Oğraş urged Erdogan to leverage his authority, stressing that the conflict and atrocities in Palestine could extend beyond the region, impacting the broader Muslim community.
In a direct address to the United Nations, Oğraş strongly criticized the organization for its inaction in protecting the rights of children in conflict zones, particularly referencing the ongoing loss of innocent lives in Gaza. He condemned the UN's perceived hypocrisy and warned of the repercussions, invoking the potential for the affected children to become a force against global indifference.
Dr. Halef Yılmaz, Vice President of HUDA PAR, expressed disappointment in Erdogan's approach, referencing the missed opportunity to embody a leader akin to Saladin. Yılmaz emphasized the urgency for collective action from Islamic nations, urging unity beyond sectarian differences to address the crisis in Gaza.
Yılmaz stressed the imperative need for immediate closure of bases like Kurecik in Malatya, implicating their potential involvement in the conflict. He called for tangible actions, including a boycott of products from regions deemed hostile and the bolstering of domestic production.
Throughout the event, HÜDA PAR officials continuously urged Erdogan and the Turkish government to take decisive steps to address the situation, emphasizing that the future of Türkiye could be intricately tied to the outcomes in the Palestinian territories.
The gathering emphasized the necessity for swift, unified action and called upon Erdogan and the Turkish government to take a proactive stance in supporting Palestine and leading the Ummah in this critical time. (ILKHA)
