In addition to the human toll, around 50 media institutions have been subjected to bombing, according to the statement.

The GMO's statement strongly condemned the continuous israeli aggression and the heinous crimes and massacres committed against civilians, with a particular emphasis on the targeted attacks against members of the press.

It pointed out that journalists' homes and media facilities have been relentlessly bombed, all while Israel remains unaccountable in the eyes of international and Arab organizations.

The GMO called for an immediate halt to the zionist aggression on Gaza and urged for the protection of journalists and media institutions across Palestine.

It highlighted the Israeli disregard for UN Security Council Resolution 2222, which is designed to safeguard journalists in areas of armed conflict.

The statement emphasized that the failure to hold the zionist entity accountable has provided the green light for further war crimes against Palestinians.

Furthermore, the GMO appealed to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression and international human rights institutions to investigate the crimes against media freedom in Palestine.

It called for the prosecution of those responsible for the attacks as the sole means to put an end to israeli aggression. (ILKHA)
