The protest aimed to raise awareness of the situation in Gaza, which is blockaded by the zionist occupation regime, with attendees expressing their solidarity.

Led by the humanitarian organization IHH and supported by various political parties and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), the event took place at Bitlis Eren University Rahva Campus following Friday prayers.

The protestors convened in front of Memduh Eren Mosque after the prayer service. During the event, participants frequently invoked takbirs and voiced their disapproval of the occupation regime while expressing support for HAMAS.

Muhammet Beyazalma, chairman of IHH Youth in the university, delivered a press statement on behalf of the group. In his statement, Beyazalma emphasized that HAMAS is an Islamic resistance movement and political organization established in Palestine, defending its legitimate right to defend its land and people.

Beyazalma stated: "In order to analyze Operation Aqsa Flood in a healthy way, we must first understand what HAMAS stands for. HAMAS is an Islamic resistance movement and political organization established in Palestine, with the founding goal of establishing a fully independent and sovereign Islamic State in the Palestinian territories."

Regarding the situation in Gaza, he explained: "Groups organized to wage armed struggle against an occupying state are defined as resistance organizations. In this framework, when we look at the situation in Gaza, it is evident that the Palestinian resistance, organized by HAMAS, is defending their land and people through legal and humanitarian means."

The gathering emphasized the significance of Operation Aqsa Flood in the struggle for Palestinian rights and drew attention to the support it garnered internationally.

In closing, Beyazalma highlighted the media's role in shaping public opinion and called for a deeper understanding of the psychological impact on those living under long-standing oppression.

The event was attended by various representatives, including HÜDA PAR Bitlis Provincial Chairman Cengiz Karakaya, NGO representatives, and university students. (ILKHA)
