Turkish official condemns killing of journalists in israeli aggression on Gaza
The Turkish Presidency's Director of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, strongly condemned the deliberate targeting and indiscriminate killing of journalists, as well as civilians, within the conflict zone.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Fahrettin Altun stressed the critical role of journalists in delivering news from the frontlines and called for an immediate end to violence against them.
Altun urged zionist authorities to acknowledge civilian casualties and implement robust measures to safeguard the lives of news workers.
"The nationality and ethnicity of civilians should not matter," Altun declared, emphasizing that all parties involved in the conflict have a responsibility to protect civilians, including journalists. He highlighted that the press serves as a vital conduit to reveal the harsh realities of war and underscored the importance of supporting their work.
Offering condolences to the grieving families and loved ones of the news workers who lost their lives in the conflict, Altun underscored that achieving peace hinges on a clear understanding of the facts on the ground and an acceptance of these truths.
As the zionist aggression on Palestinian civilians in Gaza continues, the international community watches closely, and the call to safeguard journalists and other civilians intensifies in the face of this devastating toll. (ILKHA)
