Greek forces push 113 migrants into Turkish waters
The Turkish Coast Guard rescued 113 irregular migrants who were forced into Turkish territorial waters by Greek forces on Monday.
The migrants were on a rubber boat that had engine failure off the coast of Çeşme and Menderes districts.
The Coast Guard Command said it received information about the group and sent teams to the area. The teams brought the migrants ashore and handed them over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
The incident is the latest in a series of pushbacks by Greek forces, who have been accused of violating international law and human rights by preventing migrants from reaching Europe. (ILKHA)
