Turkish Coast Guard rescues 20 irregular migrants pushed back by Greek forces
The Turkish Coast Guard has carried out a successful rescue operation, disembarking 20 irregular migrants who were pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek authorities.
The Coast Guard Command received reports about the presence of irregular migrants stranded on a life raft near Didim, Aydın. In response, a Coast Guard vessel was immediately dispatched to the area.
Upon reaching the scene, the Coast Guard team safely rescued the 20 irregular migrants who had been forced back into Turkish waters by Greek forces.
Following the rescue operation, the irregular migrants were transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management to undergo the necessary procedures. (ILKHA)
