Heavy toll of innocent lives as israeli airstrikes continue in Gaza on day 16
The unrelenting zionist aggression on Gaza has entered its 16th day, resulting in numerous casualties, including children, and ongoing injuries as a result of Israeli airstrikes.
In the city of Khan Yunis, located in the southern Gaza Strip, a tragic incident unfolded as 11 civilians lost their lives, and several others were injured when an israeli airstrike struck a café in the city's center. The café, known as Rio, had served as a refuge for displaced individuals whose homes had been destroyed during the Israeli aggression. Rescue teams, along with local residents, continue to work tirelessly to recover victims from the rubble.
In another part of Khan Yunis, an israeli airstrike on the Al-Astal family home led to the loss of four lives, including two women and a child. Several others sustained injuries during the attack.
Furthermore, israeli airstrikes targeted two mosques in the Jabalia refugee camp, situated in the northern part of Gaza, resulting in structural damage but fortunately with no reported casualties.
Meanwhile, in the Tell al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah in southern Gaza, at least 11 innocent civilians were killed, and others were injured when an Israeli airstrike hit a house belonging to the Abu Shamala family.
The Tel al-Zaatar area, located in the northern town of Beit Lahia, also experienced israeli airstrikes, which caused civilian casualties, including children. Additionally, apartments in the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital in central Gaza City were attacked, leading to several civilian casualties.
In Rafah, situated in southern Gaza, multiple houses bore the brunt of the airstrikes, resulting in an unidentified number of civilian deaths and injuries. Similar dire circumstances unfolded in Khirbat al-Adas near the city.
The ongoing israeli aggression against Gaza has exacerbated a growing humanitarian crisis, marked by a high number of civilian casualties, persisting medical emergencies, and widespread destruction. The suffering among the civilian Palestinian population, particularly innocent children and healthcare workers, continues to escalate as Israeli aerial bombardments show no sign of abating. (ILKHA)
