A convoy comprising 20 aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip from Egypt on Saturday, carrying medicine and food, as confirmed by a statement from the Palestinian group Hamas.

Over 200 trucks, loaded with approximately 3,000 tons of aid, had been stationed near the crossing for several days before finally making their way into Gaza.

Hamas's media office noted earlier that the relief aid convoy included 20 trucks containing medicine, medical supplies, and a restricted quantity of canned food supplies.

The opening of the crossing was the result of a week of intense negotiations involving the United States, zionist regime, Egypt, and the United Nations.

As per the agreement, the 20 Egyptian trucks were allowed to transport medical supplies to the Palestinian Red Crescent organization.

However, a UN official mentioned that the next convoy might not receive permission to cross until Monday. (ILKHA)
