Palestinian Health Minister appeals for urgent international help to protect Al Quds Hospital
Minister of Health, Mai Alkaila, has made an urgent plea to the international community and all international human rights organizations, calling for immediate intervention to safeguard Gaza's Al Quds Hospital from the looming threat of israeli airstrikes.
In a press statement, Alkaila stressed the paramount importance of swift international action to prevent a tragedy akin to the recent airstrike on Al Ahli Baptist Hospital, which claimed the lives of nearly 500 Palestinian civilians, including children.
It was noted that the Red Crescent Society, responsible for operating Al Quds Hospital, has been given notice by Israeli authorities to evacuate the facility due to the impending threat of bombardment.
At present, Al Quds Hospital serves as a haven for more than 400 patients and approximately 12,000 civilians who have sought refuge there following displacement caused by Israeli hostilities. (ILKHA)
