The summit, scheduled for next Sunday, will include leaders from Qatar, Türkiye, Greece, Palestine, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Cyprus, and others.

The United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, will also be present.

Egypt has been actively engaged in diplomatic efforts to halt the violence in Gaza since the latest cycle of conflict erupted on October 7th.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi recently voiced strong opposition to any Israeli plans to relocate the 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza to the Sinai Peninsula.

He emphasized that such a move would be met with widespread rejection by Egypt's 105 million inhabitants.

El-Sisi also condemned deliberate attacks on civilians and called for international intervention to stop them, warning that the continuation of military operations could lead to escalating humanitarian and security crises.

The Egyptian President stressed the importance of a just solution for the Palestinian people, advocating for a state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. (ILKHA)
