HRW took to its social media platform to highlight the dire consequences of israel's blockade on the Gaza Strip, particularly on Palestinian children and civilians.

In their statement, HRW emphasized that the abrupt halt to Gaza's water supply on October 11 posed a severe threat to the lives of the population as water, fuel, and electricity were prevented from entering the region.

HRW further stressed that israel's ongoing and illegal blockade on Gaza is particularly devastating for children, putting their lives at risk.

On October 10, zionist regime’s Energy Minister Yisrael Katz publicly confirmed the decision to cut off the water flow to Gaza, where approximately 2 million Palestinians reside.

The situation escalated following a comprehensive attack by Hamas' military wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, called "Al-Aqsa Flood," launched on October 7.

This attack saw the firing of thousands of rockets from Gaza into zionist entity, with armed groups infiltrating settlements in the area.

The zionist army launched a substantial airstrike campaign on the Gaza Strip. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the Israeli attacks have resulted in over 4,000 casualties in Gaza, with more than 10,000 individuals sustaining injuries.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that attacks originating from Gaza led to the death of 1,300 israelis, with 5,000 people wounded, including 106 in critical condition. (ILKHA)
